The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) to offer admissions to interested candidates to its Integrated First Degree programmes including B.E., B.Pharm, and M.Sc. programmes. BITSAT exam is a computer-based test (CBT) which aspirants need to clear in order to secure admission at BITS campuses located at Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad.

BITS Pilani offers direct admission to first-rank students of all the Central and State boards to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT 2026 score.
• The first rank student in PCM stream will be considered for admission to any of the first-degree programmes of their choice.
• The first rank holder of PCB stream will be considered for admission to B.Pharm programme only.
• Board toppers must meet the minimum eligibility criteria (75% aggregate in PCM/PCB with 60% in each subject).
BITSAT 2026 is a 3-hour duration computer-based online test consisting of 130 multiple-choice questions divided into four sections.

• Correct Answer: +3 marks
• Wrong Answer: -1 mark (Negative Marking)
• Unattempted: 0 marks
If a candidate completes all 130 questions within the 3-hour duration, they will be given an opportunity to attempt 12 additional questions (4 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics). However, once you start the additional questions, you cannot go back to modify the original 130 answers.
• Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted online
• Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes)
• Language: English only
• Question Paper: Different candidates receive different question papers randomly selected from a large database, but of same difficulty level
• Slot Booking: Candidates can choose their preferred exam date, time, and test center
• Result: Displayed immediately after the exam on the computer screen; official scorecard within 2-3 days
• Two Sessions: Candidates can appear in one or both sessions; best score will be considered for admission
• No Sectional Time Limit: Candidates can attempt questions from any section in any order
• Security: Latest technologies including high-end servers, firewalls, and advanced software for test delivery
• If you have taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only your latest performance will be considered, provided this attempt had been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.
• Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT 2026.
• Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position is based on the score obtained in BITSAT 2026.
• Both theory and practical marks are considered while calculating the aggregate and individual subject percentages.
• There is no category-based relaxation in marks. The 75% aggregate and 60% individual subject criteria apply to all candidates.
